Banco Central de Cuba promotes the reseach works of the specialists from different areas in our institution, facing the challenges imposed by the daily operational work and the strategic needs which force them to trace the path for future developments. By this way, our research goals include a wide range of subject matters stretching from the study of concrete and current problems in the evolution and development of Cuban economy –with emphasis on those aspects with a closer link with monetary and financial issues- the integrating trends weighting the most and the challenges facing today for the purposes of redesigning the international economic order prevailing today.

BCC entrusts its Banking and Economic Information Center (CIBE) the task of compilation, management and publication of information of a varied nature and scope. BCC’S current informational products include the Revista del Banco Central de Cuba, the magazine of the central bank, with a circulation of 5,000 copies which are distributed throughout the national banking system, as well as research centers and universities. Besides, it is sent to central banks of several countries, and also to centers of information and libraries from abroad which have requested it. Likewise, CIBE’s specialists produce a range of news bulletins intended to increase and update the competence of Cuban bankers.
